About the Job:
This is a travel nursing opportunity for a PCU nurse to provide medical care and support to patients requiring close monitoring. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patient vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver quality patient care.
Salary Information:
The estimated salary for this role is $80-$100 per hour, depending on experience and location. With 36 hours of work per week, the weekly pay would be around $2,880-$3,600. Additionally, benefits such as private housing or housing allowance, group health insurance, and tax-free stipends are provided.
Job Description:
In this role, you will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, from those requiring minor interventions to those requiring more complex care. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assessing patient vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
- Administering medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient progress.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
- A current RN license in good standing.
- At least 18 months of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in a PCU or telemetry unit.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
