Job Summary:

As a licensed mental health professional at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to our members. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat a broad range of mental health conditions. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing effective treatment plans, providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy, and conducting crisis interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mental Health Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy to members with acute or chronic mental health needs.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with physicians, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of member treatment and progress, adhering to state and NCQA regulations.
  • Education and Training: Provide education and training to members and their families on mental health topics, treatment options, and self-management techniques.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior staff members, including post-graduate fellows and associate clinicians, to ensure their professional growth and development.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement.
  • Experience: Previous experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, preferably in an outpatient or inpatient setting.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of DSM-V, and proficiency in individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-Licensure Experience: Previous experience as a licensed mental health professional in a psychiatric treatment team setting.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff members.
  • Education and Training: Experience in providing education and training to members and their families.
