As an Adapted Physical Education Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching various courses in adapted physical education, including general conditioning, resistive exercise, aqua-cize, and aerobics.
Key Responsibilities- Teach adapted physical education courses to students with disabilities, including general conditioning, resistive exercise, aqua-cize, and aerobics.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students with diverse abilities.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current on best practices in adapted physical education.
- Master's degree in Adapted Physical Education or a related field.
- Experience teaching adapted physical education courses to students with disabilities.
- Knowledge of adapted physical education curriculum and instructional methods.
- Ability to work with students with diverse abilities and learning styles.
- Experience working with students with severe disabilities.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
