The Regional Audit Specialist will play a crucial role in delivering technical analysis and expertise to ascertain and verify the appropriate exposures for accurate premium calculations. This position demands meticulous attention to detail to ensure the precision of earned premiums across all auditable business segments. The specialist will conduct independent assessments of data reported by policyholders, agents, and auditors, applying established guidelines and procedures to ascertain correct exposures, classifications, and earned premiums. Additionally, the role involves addressing customer inquiries through both phone and written communication, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and validate confidential financial and risk data reported by policyholders, agents, and auditors to determine accurate billing exposures.
  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of all auditable policy coverages and endorsements while implementing manual rules and classifications to maintain integrity.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of audits, adhering to current bureau and state regulations.
  • Follow best practices and internal workflows to enhance quality outcomes and reporting results.
  • Prepare and compute earned premium statements using various data entry and rating systems.
  • Respond to inquiries from agents, insured parties, underwriters, and field staff promptly.
  • Manage audit inventories to ensure timely and accurate billing while meeting production, quality, and service standards.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Associate's degree or two years of equivalent experience in the insurance field.
  • Proficient in using laptop computers and applications such as spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage positively with agents, colleagues, and policyholders.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to manage workload efficiently to achieve team objectives.
  • Able to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment while handling multiple tasks competently.
