Insurance Customer Service Agent Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Insurance Customer Service Agent to join our team. As an Insurance Customer Service Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our policyholders, answering their questions, and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to policyholders via phone, email, and chat
  • Answer questions and resolve issues related to insurance policies, claims, and billing
  • Upsell and cross-sell insurance products and services to policyholders
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics and productivity standards

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
  • 1+ year of experience in customer service or a related field
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards
  • Basic knowledge of insurance products and services
