About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Administrator to join our team at Disability Solutions. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center systems, including patching, updating, and tuning for optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Analysis and Reporting: Perform in-depth analysis and reporting of multiple systems within the data center to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Management: Create and maintain accurate documentation of current and new solutions to ensure repeatable run operations and knowledge sharing among team members.
  • Industry Standards and Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices for infrastructure technologies, physical data center components, and virtual data center components to ensure our systems are aligned with industry benchmarks.
  • Disaster Recovery and Testing: Assist with all disaster recovery system tests to ensure business continuity and minimize downtime.
Requirements
  • Technical Experience: Minimum 3 years of technical experience in data center, systems, and operations, preferably in a large, fast-paced business environment.
  • Education and Certifications: Degree in Computer Science or related work experience, industry-relevant certifications.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Services (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Server), VMware Services (vSphere, ESXi, VMware Networking and Storage), storage technologies (NAS, SAN, vSAN), and data center infrastructure components (UPSes, Cooling Systems, Environmental monitoring).
  • Networking and ITIL: Understanding of networking concepts in a data center environment and familiarity with ITIL process framework and previous experience using ITSM tools.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Team player, self-motivated, collaborative, with ability to lift up to 20kg and work on ladders, bend, and stretch as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience and Project Management: Greater than 5 years of related work experience, preferably in a large fast-paced business environment, with project management experience running infrastructure projects.
