KARL STORZ is currently looking for a Benefits Coordinator. This person is responsible for assisting with the administration of all US benefits and providing a broad range of support to the Sr. Benefits Manager. This position requires strict adherence to protecting the confidentiality of all information acquired in the course of the work.
This role will be based in our Charlton, MA location and will be required to work a hybrid schedule with 2 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollment data in the Benefits management system.
- Assists with new-hire orientation and communication of the benefits offered by the company.
- Performs quality checks/audits of benefit-related data.
- Assists employees and directs them to resources regarding benefit claim issues and plan changes.
- Helps to ensure all benefits enrollment materials are correct and are distributed in a timely manner.
- Assists employees with benefit changes during the year due to life status changes.
- Responds to benefit inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefit enrollment, status changes and other general inquiries.
- Work with Benefit consultants and vendors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of benefits.
- Assists with 401(k) inquiries and auditing.
- Processes requests for fitness reimbursement benefits.
- Assists in coordinating on-site, benefit-related meetings.
- Creates employee benefit communications.
- Maintains detailed records of benefit-related documents.
- Reviews and processes health and welfare billing invoices for payment.
- Assists with all Open Enrollment duties: communications, audits, employee questions.
- Provides employee support for Wellness Challenges and on-site events.
- Follow HIPAA requirements, ensure compliance with benefits policies and regulations.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in HR or related field, experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field of study preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in HR and/or benefits administration.
- Working knowledge of benefits administration and comfortable working within the legal structures around employee benefits.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Knowledge of Businessolver, ADP, TalentSpace, SAP-HCM is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; solid organization and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
