Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the values and objectives of Trinity Washington University and the Athletics department.
  • Adhere to all departmental guidelines, regulations, and protocols.
  • Assist the head coach in managing all facets of the basketball program.
  • Prior experience as a player is preferred.
  • Conduct initial player assessments at the start of the season and coach athletes of varying skill levels.
  • Encourage team cohesion and enhance team spirit.
  • Support team practices and conditioning activities.
  • Act as a mentor to student-athletes, aiding in the resolution of both academic and personal challenges.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to the team.
  • Monitor the academic progress and conduct of student-athletes.
  • Regularly recruit and coach student-athletes, ensuring consistent participation in practice sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in coaching basketball at the collegiate or high school level, or as a collegiate basketball player.
  • A bachelor's degree and prior recruiting experience are preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of game rules and coaching methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
