Position Overview: This is a hybrid role. Candidates must reside in the designated area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and sustain scalable and robust applications utilizing AWS infrastructure.
  • Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software delivery process.
  • Employ Java programming to create high-quality solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Utilize AWS services such as Step Functions, S3, Lambda, and CloudFormation for application architecture and deployment.
  • Containerize applications with Docker and manage containers using Kubernetes.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance production environments to ensure optimal uptime and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of experience in Java development.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with AWS cloud-native applications.
  • Strong comprehension of AWS services and architectures, including serverless computing and microservices.
  • Expertise in DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD, configuration management, and infrastructure automation.
  • Practical experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, New Relic, and the ELK stack.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, teamwork, and communication capabilities.

Compensation and Benefits:

The national annual base salary range for this position is from $85,000 to $170,000. This range encompasses the base salary that American Express Global Business Travel anticipates paying for the role. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as the complexity of the role and the candidate's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Award plan, rewarding participants based on company and individual performance.
