Position Overview: This role is hybrid, and candidates must reside in Arizona.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and sustain scalable and resilient applications utilizing AWS infrastructure.
  • Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software delivery process.
  • Employ Java programming to create high-quality solutions that fulfill business needs.
  • Utilize AWS services such as Step Functions, S3, Lambda, and CloudFormation for application architecture and deployment.
  • Containerize applications using Docker and manage containers with Kubernetes.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance production environments to ensure optimal uptime and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of experience in Java development.
  • At least 2 years of experience with AWS cloud-native applications.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services and architectures, including serverless computing and microservices.
  • Expertise in DevOps practices, including CI/CD, configuration management, and infrastructure automation.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, New Relic, and ELK stack.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, teamwork, and communication abilities.

Compensation and Benefits:

The national annual base salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $170,000. This range reflects the base salary that Amex GBT anticipates paying for the role, with actual compensation determined by factors such as the role's complexity and the candidate's relevant experience and skills.

In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for our Annual Incentive Award plan, rewarding participants based on both company and individual performance.
