The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking qualified candidates for faculty roles within the Division of Medical Genetics in the Department of Pediatrics. This recruitment is aimed at enhancing the Section of Biochemical Genetic Medicine.
Position Overview
We are looking for faculty members to fill positions at various academic ranks, including Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The appointment will be made in one of the following faculty series: Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X, Adjunct, or In Residence. The academic rank will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
Clinical Responsibilities
Selected individuals may have clinical duties across multiple campuses and will contribute significantly to our mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care.
Team Composition
The Biochemical Genetics program is supported by a dedicated team, including a nurse clinical coordinator, nurse practitioner, metabolic dietitians, genetic counselors, and genetic counseling assistants.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates should hold a medical degree and possess a valid medical license. Board certification or eligibility from the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics or an equivalent body is required.
Compensation Structure
For positions with 51% effort or more, the salary will be based on the posted UC salary scales, with a minimum base salary range established by rank and step. For roles with 50% effort or less, a reasonable salary estimate will be provided.
