We introduce over 2,000 artisan producers of the world's finest ingredients from over 40 countries to the finest chefs in the world. Our team of over 600 consultive sales associates provides expert guidance and support to our customers.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and building strong relationships with our customers.
You will be responsible for selling our fine products to restaurants and caterers, hotels and retail establishments. Your duties will include:
- Producing sales revenue through the development and growth of new sales and by increasing sales with existing accounts.
- Compiling lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
- Traveling throughout assigned territory and/or calling on regular and prospective customers to secure orders.
- Displaying or demonstrating product using samples or catalog, and emphasizing saleable features.
- Quoting prices and credit terms and preparing sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Estimating date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
- Preparing reports of business transactions and keeping updated expense accounts.
- Working with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
- Tracking stock levels.
- Entering new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with purchasing contacts.
We are looking for a highly energetic and positive individual with a strong team player profile. You should have:
- One to two years of relevant experience in sales.
- Previous sales experience in restaurant, food sales, or professional catering, and/or working as a Chef.
- High energy, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple concurrent projects and initiatives.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to learn new skills quickly on the job.
