Key Responsibilities:

The DevOps Engineer plays a pivotal role within our agile cloud product development team. This position is dedicated to the automated continuous deployment of application code, alongside the operational and security oversight of the AWS platform. The DevOps Engineer acts as a crucial link between development teams, corporate IT, and external cloud service providers, ensuring deployment efficiency, security, and business continuity.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps environment or Unix System Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with cloud service providers, particularly AWS
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools, including source control, automated build/test, and code coverage analysis tools
  • Strong scripting skills, particularly in Python
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, specifically Docker
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Amazon Web Services are highly desirable: AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS SysOps Administrator, and/or AWS DevOps Engineer
  • Understanding of DevOps best practices related to software application lifecycle and release processes
  • Experience in designing and executing test cycles, unit tests, and test scripts for embedded vehicle control systems and software applications
  • Strong background in using toolchains and developing with applications such as Jira, Bamboo, Git/Bitbucket, and Confluence
  • Familiarity with AWS technologies including VPC, CloudFormation, Route 53, IAM, EC2, S3, and DynamoDB
  • Knowledge of Nginx and Linux administration, including bash scripting
  • Ability to perform database queries with a general understanding of database administration
  • Experience in implementing security measures within application solutions
  • Familiarity with both waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Project leadership experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of Terraform Cloud and GitHub Associations
  • Experience with MS SQL Server and data design principles
  • Understanding of data movement between environments and SSIS
