The Senior Vice President, Operations is responsible for overseeing regional operations and creating growth strategies for assigned regions.

This key role involves leading strategic plans and quarterly business reviews with clients to maintain a strong partnership.

A key aspect of this position is analyzing client results and performance to identify opportunities for Avenue5 products and services.

Primary Responsibilities and Objectives

• Lead regional leaders, corporate associates, and provide support on associate, payroll, accounting, information systems, legal, and risk management issues

• Develop and implement annual budgets, business plans, variance reports, and reforecasts for corporate departments and properties

• Understand client and company business objectives to maximize client revenue

• Serve as a member of the Avenue5 senior leadership team and strategic business partner for revenue growth with existing and large complex clients

• Participate in setting long-term and short-term objectives for the company, including strategic plans for operations and personnel

• Oversee corporate regional offices to ensure efficient staff utilization and effective resource allocation

• Monitor resident satisfaction and retention, as well as key performance indicators

• Resolve escalated issues and ensure timely resolution

• Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor strengths and weaknesses, client requirements, and emerging trends

• Develop and implement strategic plans for new business pursuits

• Achieve growth and operational KPIs for named portfolio clients and corporate regional departments

• Serve as the strategic leader for client relationships, including communications, planning, education, problem resolution, and other aspects

• Provide subject matter expertise to clients to optimize product utilization

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of Avenue5 products and services

• Oversee quarterly business review presentations and strategic plans

• Assess revenue and profit potential for all properties for portfolio clients

• Participate in company and industry events to support client development

• Manage RFP and RFI responses and work with the business development team to achieve new business targets

• Lead quarterly and annual business reviews with clients and other meetings as required

• Collaborate with internal Avenue5 leaders, teams, and associates

• Regularly visit properties and regional offices

Education and Experience

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred

• Minimum ten years of experience in the third-party property management industry required

• Minimum five years of experience successfully managing multiple properties

• CPM certification preferred

Skills and Requirements

• Proven experience in managing, developing, and expanding client relationships at a senior level

• Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire, develop, and grow top talent

• Strong understanding of property management industry trends, issues, and emerging technology

• Track record of accomplishments and high-impact results

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including public speaking

• Ability to understand financial statements, such as profit and loss statements, general ledgers, and budgets

• Participation in industry groups preferred

• Ability to prioritize and allocate resources in a dynamic, execution-oriented manner

• Strong organization skills, detail orientation, initiative, decision making, and sense of urgency

• Ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels

• Ability to frequently travel, including overnight

Scheduling

Required to maintain a regular schedule with potential for work outside regular hours, weekends, and non-traditional holidays

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Estimated Salary

$250,000 - $275,000 per year, depending on experience
