About This Role

The primary objective of this position is to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers by maintaining accurate customer records, assisting in the collection of customer information for verification of deposits, and performing other duties to achieve performance and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level customer service to branch personnel and business units regarding various issues and maintenance requests, researching requests and taking appropriate action as applicable.
  • Identify process improvements, leveraging available technology and automation to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Respond to phone and email requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide department support by coordinating workflow and offering technical and training support to team members.
  • Verify document images and ensure accurate and timely data entry into internal software applications.
  • Maintain customer and account records, and process return mail in a secure and efficient manner.
  • Assist in collecting customer information for verification of deposits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the team's goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Intermediate knowledge of banking industry and bank operations, including best practices and regulations.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks.
  • Ability to learn new processes quickly and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities without direct supervision.
  • Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and a positive attitude aligned with our culture and Core Values.
  • Moderate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.

Education & Experience

  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 3+ years financial services or related experience required.
  • 3+ years customer service experience required.

At Commerce, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $18.00 to $21.15 per hour.
