Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to determine service needs and implement appropriate contracts.
  • Manage the coordination of the Region's Integrated Maintenance Management System (IMMS) operations.
  • Generate and analyze expenditure reports, oversee physical inventory management, and handle damage claims.
  • Support the review and approval of staff time entries for the Maintenance Region.
  • Ensure effective planning and management of field maintenance facilities, collaborating with management and engineering teams.
  • Oversee the operational integrity of telecommunication devices and manage related service contracts.
  • Lead the Cal-Sense Irrigation Program, ensuring optimal performance and maintenance.
  • Provide management with detailed reports on maintenance activities and program status.

Eligibility and Application Process

Eligibility for this position may be determined by performance on the Caltrans Maintenance Manager I examination. Candidates must ensure they are on the state examination list to qualify for consideration. It is essential to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) that addresses specific leadership experiences and strategies for staff development.
