Job Summary

Touro University New York is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to support the Department of Practicum Development. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the department, including the Director, Associate Director, and Assistant Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain student placement records in the SONIA database.
  • Coordinate and facilitate student placements, including allocating students to their placements, practicum instructors, and liaisons.
  • Prepare and send student communications throughout the academic year.
  • Organize and coordinate student placement information, including practicum registration forms, resumes, and employment-based agreements.
  • Review practicum registration forms for completeness and follow up with students as needed.
  • Provide support to students, practicum instructors, and liaisons regarding their use of the SONIA database.
  • Coordinate and manage practicum agency affiliation agreements with the legal department staff.
  • Manage and maintain certificates of insurance for practicum agency partnerships.
  • Manage payments for adjunct professors and practicum department staff.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Practicum Manual.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of administrative support experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment and will be required to lift up to 5 pounds. Extensive use of computers and time sitting and standing are also expected.
