Job Description

Job Summary:

Bespak Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Chemist to join our Product Development Team. As a Chemist, you will be responsible for performing analytical testing associated with aerosol characterization, product performance, and physical chemical characterization. You will work closely with our team to develop and qualify chromatography and inhalation test methods, analyze data, and write reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aerosol Characterization: Perform analytical testing associated with aerosol characterization using various inhalation devices, such as metered dose inhalers, dry powder inhalers, solutions, and suspensions for nebulization, and nasal products by means of HPLC and other analytical techniques.
  • Product Performance and Physical Chemical Characterization: Perform product performance and physical chemical characterization testing by means of NGI collections, spray characterization, and other technologies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document laboratory work carefully per SOPs and cGMPs, and write reports, protocols, test methods, SOPs, and other documents.
  • Method Development and Qualification: Assist in the development and qualification of chromatography and inhalation test methods.
  • Data Analysis and Problem-Solving: Analyze data and identify and solve problems, recommend changes in the area of expertise.
  • Quality and Safety: Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with cGMPs and SOPs.

Requirements:

  • Education: B.S. degree in chemistry, biological sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, or related fields.
  • Experience: 4 to 5 years of relevant industry experience in either chromatographic analysis (HPLC) in a GMP environment or pharmaceutical or food product development.
  • Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, self-motivated, and well-organized with excellent time management abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Inhaled product testing, experience with equipment such as coulometric Karl Fischer, FT-IR, osmometer, Gas Chromatograph, and experience from a contract lab organization.
