Customer Service Representative for Animal Welfare

Position Overview:

If you are enthusiastic about animal care and possess outstanding customer service abilities, this role may be a perfect fit for you. The Front Office Coordinator is essential in fostering positive interactions with the public and ensuring excellent service delivery during operational hours at the Animal Services department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while advocating for the mission and services of the Animal Shelter.
  • Handle receptionist tasks including welcoming visitors, managing phone communications, overseeing email correspondence, and scheduling appointments.
  • Maintain accurate records by entering data into the shelter's computerized systems, covering aspects such as animal intake, adoptions, and medical histories.
  • Process client payments, manage cash transactions, and assist with financial reporting.
  • Facilitate adoption processes by preparing necessary paperwork and ensuring all documentation is complete and readily available.
  • Conduct general office duties, including mail processing, document scanning, and maintaining an organized reception area.
Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma or GED is required.

Experience: A minimum of two years in customer service, preferably within a veterinary or animal care environment, is desired. Experience with animals is advantageous.

Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver's license is mandatory.

Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
