The Recruitment Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting various activities related to student recruitment, admissions, and engagement across all locations of Ozarka College.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a representative of Ozarka College, sharing information about higher education opportunities at community events, workshops, and high school campuses;
  • Assist prospective students throughout the admissions process, including registration and testing;
  • Respond to inquiries from potential students and coordinate campus visits;
  • Monitor and communicate the status of applicants during the admissions process;
  • Support the organization of college events such as New Student Orientation and Financial Aid Nights;
  • Collaborate with the Director on student engagement initiatives, including ambassador programs and student government;
  • Promote available scholarship opportunities;
  • Stay informed about admissions policies, program requirements, and college resources;
  • Engage in professional development activities;
  • Participate in assigned committees and task forces;
  • Travel extensively within the college's service area.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred, particularly in fields such as Education, Marketing, or Communications;
  • Preferred experience of one year in communications or public relations;
  • Experience in higher education, particularly in admissions or recruitment, is desirable;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with proficiency in computer applications;
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift items up to 50 lbs;
  • Commitment to learning, professional growth, and teamwork;
  • Understanding of the two-year college philosophy;
  • Ability to effectively engage with students, faculty, and community members;
  • Self-motivated and responsible, with the ability to work independently;
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including some evening and weekend commitments.
