Student Wellbeing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Student Wellbeing Specialist. This role will play a critical part in supporting the educational and wellbeing needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide early intervention programs and support for students with specific needs or vulnerabilities.
- Deliver Tier 1 & 2 intervention programs in response to identified themes.
- Case manage students who require coordination of wellbeing and/or Inclusion support.
- Extend supports to parents when it pertains to a student's health and wellbeing.
- Provide student-centred counselling and goal-centred interventions.
- Support students by role-modelling positive interpersonal skills and encouraging an environment of support and inclusion.
- Support teachers by providing insight into student wellbeing needs and strategies for engagement.
- Keep accurate and thorough written records of activities and client contact.
- Communicate with relevant staff and management and escalate critical cases to senior supports and management.
- Undertake ongoing professional development in line with annual PDP goals.
- Individuals with the aptitude, experience, and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents to support student wellbeing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Knowledge of child safety standards and policies.
