Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Student Wellbeing Specialist. This role will play a critical part in supporting the educational and wellbeing needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide early intervention programs and support for students with specific needs or vulnerabilities.
  • Deliver Tier 1 & 2 intervention programs in response to identified themes.
  • Case manage students who require coordination of wellbeing and/or Inclusion support.
  • Extend supports to parents when it pertains to a student's health and wellbeing.
  • Provide student-centred counselling and goal-centred interventions.
  • Support students by role-modelling positive interpersonal skills and encouraging an environment of support and inclusion.
  • Support teachers by providing insight into student wellbeing needs and strategies for engagement.
  • Keep accurate and thorough written records of activities and client contact.
  • Communicate with relevant staff and management and escalate critical cases to senior supports and management.
  • Undertake ongoing professional development in line with annual PDP goals.
Requirements
  • Individuals with the aptitude, experience, and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents to support student wellbeing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of child safety standards and policies.
