Job Summary

The Kroger Company is seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Department Leader to join our team. As an Assistant Department Leader, you will be responsible for assisting with the management of the deli department, including monitoring and controlling supply expenses, managing cash control and sales, and scheduling front-end associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with monitoring and controlling supply expenses for the deli department
  • Manage cash control, sales, and cash items and records for the store
  • Schedule front-end associates to provide adequate department coverage
  • Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget and profit and loss reviews
  • Assist with creating and executing budgets and scheduling of labor
  • Assist in the development and implementation of department action plans
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to have a strong understanding of inventory management and cash handling procedures.
