Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for executing the site safety program on assigned projects, educating and training project staff in safety requirements, and ensuring compliance with company and customer safety policies.

Responsibilities
  • Site Safety Program Execution: Execute the site safety program on assigned projects, ensuring compliance with company and customer safety policies.
  • Safety Training and Education: Educate and train project staff in safety requirements and best practices in incident prevention.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with company and customer safety policies, and identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Build working relationships with customer representatives, project staff, and subcontractor safety representatives.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Assist in creating accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents.
  • Staff Development and Training: Assist in staff safety training and subcontractor development.
  • Representative and Ambassador: Represent the company in a positive and professional manner with customers and subcontractors.
  • Safety Trainings and Orientations: Create and facilitate safety trainings and orientations aligned with project specifics and schedules.
  • Participation in Safety Organizations: Participate in safety organizations outside of the company and in assigned regions.
  • Compliance with Safety Manual and Policies: Ensure compliance with the company's current safety manual, policies, and expectations.
  • Field Observations and Coaching: Spend majority of time in the field observing work, coaching, auditing, and engaging craft employee-owners.
  • Problem-Solving and Issue-Resolution: Help project supervision resolve safety problems and issues in the field.
  • Site HSE Manager Support: Fill in for site HSE manager during absences.
