Work Environment:

Employees may encounter potential risks associated with investigating alarms, addressing suspicious activities, and responding to service calls. The role requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and to be available for shift work and on-call duties. Involvement in patient restraint may occur on occasion.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position include:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Occasional requirements for stooping, kneeling, bending, and stretching.
  • Capability to rapidly ascend five flights of stairs while carrying a ten-pound fire extinguisher.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to fifty pounds.
  • Visual acuity to identify suspicious activities and unsafe conditions both day and night.
  • Near visual acuity for reading reports and monitoring surveillance systems.
  • Hearing ability to detect unusual sounds, alarms, and calls for assistance.
  • Manual dexterity to operate doors, type, and use communication devices.
