Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at LA Business Management Services, LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our pharmacists and patients by stocking, assembling, and distributing medications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pharmacological services by stocking, assembling, and distributing medications.
  • Assist health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone, answering questions and requests, and referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Organize medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, and assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies.
  • Maintain records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions.
  • Generate revenues by calculating, recording, and issuing charges.
  • Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments.
  • Prepare reports by collecting and summarizing information.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

The incumbent in this position may operate any/all of the following equipment: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, fax, email, phone, NextGen, EMA.
