Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and operate engines under test conditions for our clients.
  • Execute stationary engine testing protocols according to detailed written procedures, either manually or via an automated electronic data acquisition/control system.
  • Perform minor repairs and upkeep on engines and testing apparatus.
  • Diagnose and rectify engine and instrumentation issues using effective troubleshooting methods.
  • Ensure test parameters (such as temperatures, pressures, and flow rates) are maintained within established limits, utilizing computerized control systems as necessary.
  • Measure, adjust, and document various engine metrics including blow-by, EGR, AFR, and oil dip levels.
  • Collect, label, and submit oil and fuel samples to the appropriate labs.
  • Conduct daily cleaning tasks to uphold the organization and safety of work areas.
  • Fulfill additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an Engine Operator I.
  • Approval as a trainer on 6+ test types by technical staff is required.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools is essential.
  • Availability for overtime on short notice is necessary.
  • Adherence to safety practices to ensure personal and collective safety is mandatory.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills in verbal, written, and presentation formats.
  • Possess fundamental technical and administrative skills required for the role.
  • Customer-focused and quality-driven mindset.
  • Willingness to travel as business needs arise.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with flushes and starts on FLSPI and GMLSPI.
  • 6+ months of automotive experience is advantageous.
