Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Medical Director to join our team at Adelante Healthcare. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality and operations of our medical services, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chief Medical Officer in developing and implementing medical policies and procedures
  • Supervise and monitor physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Implement the Patient Centered Medical Home model to improve clinical workflows and patient satisfaction
  • Recruit and interview medical staff candidates to ensure the best fit for our organization
  • Develop and coordinate diagnosis-related practices and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
  • Collaborate with Health Center Practice Managers to evaluate their performance and contribute to their development
  • Lead regular meetings of the medical staff to ensure open communication and collaboration
  • Assist in maintaining clinical coverage and ensuring that our patients receive timely and effective care
  • Meet regularly with the Chief Medical Officer and other medical leaders to discuss clinical care and processes

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy degree
  • Masters degree or equivalent in Public Health Administration or related field preferred
  • Two years of experience working in a management capacity in a healthcare institution or agency
  • Proof of successful National Board completion or certification
  • Meets requirements of Medical Staff membership
  • Previous outpatient experience preferred
  • Current BLS certification
  • Certification to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation for the healthcare professional (CPR) and AED through courses that follow the guidelines from the American Heart Association and Red Cross (cognitive and skills evaluations)
  • Demonstrated understanding of clinical methods and techniques
  • Ability to meet and deal effectively with clients, associates, and the general public
  • Basic business English, spelling, and punctuation skills
  • Basic computer efficiency
  • Valid AZ driver's license
  • Commitment to Adelante Healthcare's mission, vision, and values
  • Competency in dealing with people of various cultures and social status
  • Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety for all specialty behavioral health locations
