Position Summary

The Dispatcher plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and managing scale operations within the Transportation Department. Reporting directly to the Transportation Manager, this position also involves supervising and guiding the Drivers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer service inquiries and appropriately route calls
• Address customer requests and complaints, escalating issues to the Transportation Manager as necessary
• Follow up on unresolved matters with customers, the Sales Team, and the Transportation Manager
• Oversee the weighing of all materials entering and exiting the facility
• Supervise scale operations
• Handle all incoming calls
• Complete daily dispatch documentation
• Conduct all scale operations for inbound and outbound materials
• Create receivers and shippers in the database and generate necessary paperwork
• Finalize daily dispatch documentation
• Maintain and organize all driver logs and reports
• Test and oversee the radiation detection system and maintain the logbook
• Facilitate effective internal communication with the Manager and colleagues
• Exhibit proficiency in all job functions and align with company objectives
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of company policies, regulations, and training
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; some college education or a degree is advantageous
• Minimum of 2 years in a customer service role
• Highly organized and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Professional demeanor
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
• Proficient in computer skills and data entry
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking); bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Stable job history with reliable attendance and trustworthy references
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, background, and credit checks
