The University of California, Irvine Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the Research Fellowship in Population Health program for the 2025-2026 academic year. This fellowship is designed to provide clinical fellows with a comprehensive education in research methodology, experimental design, and grant proposal preparation.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in population health, focusing on residency and student education with an emphasis on research methodology.
- Prepare grant proposals, scientific writing, and administrative preparation as a research director.
- Teach and advise residents, medical students, and other relevant academic learners.
- Engage in scholarly and creative activities applicable to the fellowship.
- Participate in university and public service.
- Eligibility to obtain a California Medical License.
- California DEA registration.
- UCI Medical Staff Privileges.
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine by the start date.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year, and renewal is based on availability of support.
