Overview:
Colliers Engineering & Design is in search of a Senior Project Leader to oversee our Civil/Site division.

The Senior Project Leader is accountable for the professional, technical, managerial, marketing, administrative, and financial elements of their department, serving as a recognized authority in their specialized field.

This role involves managing the department to deliver cost-efficient services to various department heads, project managers, staff, and other personnel, ensuring a satisfactory profit margin for the organization.


Responsibilities:
Provides strategic leadership and managerial direction to achieve set financial and growth objectives for the discipline.

Holds primary responsibility for overall productivity, profitability, client satisfaction, and quality of deliverables across the discipline.


Develops, implements, and spearheads marketing and business development strategies in partnership with the Corporate Marketing and Business Development teams.

Evaluates and oversees proposal development and contract execution within the discipline, ensuring adherence to Company standard operating procedures.


Monitors billing and collections throughout the discipline, ensuring compliance with Company standard operating procedures while striving to meet or exceed financial targets.

Acts as a resource for the leadership team within the discipline.

Regularly assesses the backlog of work and resource allocation within the discipline to optimize staff utilization. Reviews staff utilization frequently and promptly addresses any underperformance.

Engages actively in business development and the cross-promotion of all company services.

Prepares for the future state of the discipline through timely succession planning.


Ensures that people managers within the discipline are held accountable for fostering staff professional development, monitoring staffing and recruitment activities, and effectively managing employee relations.


Adheres to and ensures compliance with all CED policies and procedures, including but not limited to the Health and Safety Program.


Collaborates with the Discipline Safety Coordinator to implement and comply with the Health and Safety Program as it pertains to their discipline.

Regular travel to various regions and offices is expected.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

15+ years of progressive leadership and managerial experience in a related domain.

Professional licensure in the area of expertise.

Proven effective leadership across large teams.

Ability to read, write, and comprehend English for job-related communications and verbal instructions.

Exceptional communication skills.

Strategic thinking capabilities.

Effective delegation abilities.

Collaboration skills.

Capacity to hold others accountable.
