Position SummaryWe are in search of a Senior Information Technology Project Manager with substantial experience in overseeing large-scale IT initiatives within federal organizations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance standards. This role demands exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with diverse teams.
Key Responsibilities- Direct the planning, execution, and closure phases of IT projects, adhering to established timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality benchmarks.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk assessments, stakeholder analyses, and progress reports.
- Implement project management best practices and methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMI) to ensure consistent project success.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and project sponsors to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Lead a multidisciplinary project team, providing guidance and support to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and outcomes.
- Facilitate effective communication across project teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Promote the adoption of innovative technologies and practices to enhance project outcomes and support modernization efforts.
- At least 7 years of experience in IT project management, preferably in a government or regulatory context.
- Demonstrated expertise in IT services, management, and processes, with a focus on navigating projects within regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities, proven by past successes in guiding multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives within tight deadlines and budgets.
- Proficient in project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile) and tools, ensuring efficient project execution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and obstacles early and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for engaging with stakeholders at all levels and ensuring clear project communication.
- PMP, Agile, or similar certifications are highly regarded, reflecting a commitment to professional development and adherence to industry standards.
- Familiarity with modern technology trends and tools, including cloud services and cybersecurity measures, to drive modernization efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Preferred certification as a Scrum Master (CSM).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
