Position: Lawn Care and Pest Management Specialist

Role Summary: We are looking for a skilled and passionate Lawn Care and Pest Management Specialist to enhance our team at Charlestown Landscaping. In this role, you will be essential in preserving and improving the health and aesthetics of our clients' lawns through effective fertilization and pest control strategies. Your main duty will involve applying fertilizers and necessary treatments to foster the growth and vibrancy of the grass, ensuring client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lawn Assessment: Perform comprehensive evaluations of clients' lawns, taking into account soil quality, grass species, and environmental factors to devise the most effective fertilization strategy.
  2. Fertilizer Application: Distribute fertilizers and other essential treatments across lawns using the correct equipment, ensuring precise and uniform application while adhering to safety protocols.
  3. Weed and Pest Management: Detect and manage weed and pest issues in lawns, applying suitable herbicides and pesticides as required. Utilize integrated pest management practices to reduce environmental impact.
  4. Equipment Care: Ensure the maintenance and calibration of fertilization tools for optimal performance and accurate application. Conduct regular upkeep and repairs as needed.
  5. Client Interaction: Engage professionally with clients, addressing their questions, concerns, and requests regarding lawn care. Offer expert guidance and recommendations on effective lawn maintenance practices.
  6. Documentation: Keep detailed records of fertilization activities, including application dates, product amounts, and specific areas treated. Prepare necessary reports and documentation.
  7. Safety and Regulations: Adhere to all safety measures and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment. Stay informed about industry standards and best practices related to lawn care and pesticide application.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in lawn care, fertilization, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Understanding of various grass types, soil conditions, and fertilization methods.
  • Familiarity with lawn care equipment, including spreaders, sprayers, and calibration devices.
  • Knowledge of weed and pest identification and management techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in diverse weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
