Financial Coordinator Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the Finance and Operations managers with auditing account reconciliations, reviewing and proofing reimbursement requests for accuracy, and filtering incoming requests to the appropriate finance team member.
  • Assist staff with account requests and work independently most of the time.

Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Workday experience in a university setting (preferred).
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, MS Word, and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work independently to identify and act on relevant work.
  • Advanced administrative, finance, and time management skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to problem solve and prioritize workloads while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Academic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Associate's degree and experience required.
  • Two plus years of experience in accounting or finance required (preferably in academia).
