Position Overview: As a Systems Engineer specializing in SaaS at Network and Data Solutions Integrators (NDSI), you will be instrumental in crafting effective solutions for intricate challenges. Your role will focus on customizing advanced solutions tailored to the specific needs of our clientele, prioritizing the end-user experience while fostering your professional development.

Impact of the Role: In this capacity, you will provide essential expertise in the evaluation, packaging, and deployment of enterprise software and application packages. Your skills will be pivotal in developing, testing, and implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) strategies that meet mission-critical software requirements. You may engage in various domains, including process assessment, testing, configuration management, and ongoing enhancement. Your analytical and technical support will be vital during both the development and implementation phases of projects, as well as during routine operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing software services for Mission Systems across diverse programs, considering both single-service and broader multi-service perspectives.
  • Collaborating with engineering and system teams to facilitate the software development lifecycle from service requirements through to integration and deployment.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues within development, testing, and production environments.
  • Conducting technical peer reviews in conjunction with team members.
  • Working within a geographically dispersed interdisciplinary team of engineering and program management professionals.
  • Managing various administrative, operational, and technical support tasks related to FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS), a product of Flexera Software Asset Management.
  • Ensuring the application is current, functioning correctly, and that accurate data is being captured.
  • Analyzing system data and generating regular reports and visualizations that reflect the application's health status.
  • Effectively communicating with clients, stakeholders, and the licensing team.
  • Performing system administration and support tasks as assigned.
  • Conducting Inventory Health Checks, monitoring dashboards, and assessing system status.
  • Diagnosing and ensuring remediation in the event of system failures.
  • Applying necessary system updates.
  • Executing data input tasks, including one-off uploads.
  • Implementing new rules and business adapters to gather current data.
  • Ensuring that excluded devices and applications are appropriately accounted for in the system.
  • Monitoring beacon servers and agent health on endpoint devices.
  • Ensuring the successful deployment of the latest agent and beacon applications.
  • Managing user account rights and access.
  • Maintaining data integrity and accuracy by implementing automated processes to manage orphaned, duplicated, and decommissioned devices.
  • Monitoring FNMS product releases and applying patches as necessary.
  • Implementing Flexera integration with third-party vendor applications as needed.
  • Completing client and team assignments as required.
  • Learning and implementing additional Flexera products/tools as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in networking, IP addressing, and ports.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Flexera architecture, beacon servers, and agents.
  • Proficiency in SQL scripting language for connection string verification.
  • 5+ years of experience with Windows Server 2016/2019.
  • 5+ years of experience with RHEL7/8.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and eligibility for CI Poly.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
