Position Overview: Regional Sales Executive

The Regional Sales Executive is accountable for overseeing a designated region comprising specific sales territories to achieve set sales objectives with Axogen's portfolio of peripheral nerve repair products.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Operating Room Sales within Lifesciences.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of sales management experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of relevant Axogen experience required.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, computer, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven success in building, motivating, and leading sales teams.
  • Adept at inspiring and effectively communicating with teams responsible for direct sales.
  • Experienced in coaching and mentoring field sales representatives.
  • Demonstrated success in a collaborative work environment.
  • Strong business acumen and financial management skills relevant to job expectations.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit a high level of business acumen to optimize regional sales through effective pricing strategies, spending decisions, and resource utilization (Regional and National Professional education and Industry Meetings).
  • Analyze sales, marketing, and financial data to track trends and progress towards sales goals.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales to establish realistic and attainable territory sales objectives.
  • Manage field inventory to ensure an optimal balance between product availability and inventory costs.
  • Meet performance expectations as defined by the VP of Sales and Axogen leadership.
  • Prepare and present semi-annual Regional Business Plans to the VP of Sales and Senior Management.
  • Work with regional representatives to strategize, target, and secure business opportunities.
  • Provide sales leadership during company meetings.
  • Keep the VP of Sales and corporate leadership promptly informed of competitive activities, industry trends, and product acceptance.
  • Offer insights and guidance to all functions within Axogen that support ongoing sales channel development.
  • Monitor and manage representatives' utilization of Axogen sales intelligence tools (e.g., sales reports, CRM).
  • Participate in regular sales meetings focused on increasing sales.
  • Assist in developing sales training, tools, and programs to drive sales.
  • Demonstrate innovative and insightful ideas and implement them effectively.
  • Ensure effective staffing of the region and maintain communication with regional sales personnel to ensure they operate efficiently within established company guidelines and Axogen values.
  • Conduct regular field visits with regional staff to support their development, monitor progress towards goals, clarify sales direction, assist in negotiations, and build key customer relationships.
  • Serve as a training resource to supplement corporate training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with regional personnel to recognize, encourage, and facilitate professional growth.
  • Work closely with the VP of Sales and Human Resources regarding personnel hiring, employee development, improvement plans, and terminations.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including compliance with relevant clinical and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Comply with all other standards, policies, and legal requirements related to this position.

Compensation and Benefits:

The anticipated target compensation for base plus commission is approximately $300k (uncapped).

Axogen operates on a hybrid work schedule for certain positions based out of our headquarters, with a combination of in-office and remote work. This hybrid schedule does not apply to sales or facilities in specific regions.

Axogen adheres to healthcare system guidelines regarding credentialing, vaccinations, and other employment/compliance-related requirements, as well as CDC guidance. The company reserves the right to amend its policies as necessary.
