Job Title: Preconstruction Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Preconstruction Manager to join our team at DPR Construction. As a key member of our preconstruction team, you will be responsible for managing the preconstruction phase of commercial construction projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the preconstruction phase of commercial construction projects, including estimating, bidding, and contract administration.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare and present detailed cost estimates and conceptual cost studies to clients and project teams.
  • Collaborate with project teams to establish project budgets and schedules, and to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Lead and facilitate value engineering sessions with project teams and design teams to optimize project costs and outcomes.
  • Participate in request for proposal responses (RFPs) and formal presentations for projects.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience as a commercial construction estimator, preferably within DPR's core markets.
  • Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills.
  • Creative and innovative approaches and solutions on a project-by-project basis.
  • Ability to identify, adapt to, and resolve complex issues.
  • Effective participation in team environment, with both external and internal teammates.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, estimating software, take-off software, BIM tools, project management software, and scheduling software.
