Day Shift Lead Sleep Technician Job Opportunity

Overview of the Position

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our team as a Lead Sleep Technician, focusing on daytime operations. This role involves managing sleep lab operations and supporting our practice. Your primary focus will be overseeing processes while contributing to the broader practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Education & Equipment Management:
  • Educate patients on PAP therapy devices and ensure proper use.
  • Dispense equipment at the office or arrange shipping.
  • Follow up with patients to guarantee adherence to treatment plans.

Administrative & Support Tasks:

  • Document interactions following Medicare compliance guidelines.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering and cleaning processes.
  • Collaborate with vendors and build referral source relationships.
  • Provide support to our technical staff.

Leadership in Technical Operations:

  • Supervise night technicians and address operational concerns.
  • Conduct technical meetings and manage staffing schedules.
  • Oversee PSG acquisition, scoring processes, and MSLT execution.
  • Maintain PSG supply inventory and troubleshoot technical issues.

Accreditation & Quality Management:

  • Develop quarterly QA reports and manage staff training initiatives.
  • Maintain records for technical staff credentials and equipment checks.
  • Update policies and procedures to comply with AASM accreditation requirements.

HST Program & DME Overflow Support:

  • Program and dispense HST devices as scheduled.
  • Assist with PAP troubleshooting and scheduling of DME appointments.
  • Perform PAP downloads and communicate with external vendors for report retrieval.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sleep medicine is preferred.
  • Current RPSGT and OHLA license in polysomnography are required.
  • BCLS certification is necessary.
  • Proficient computer skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • A strong capability to score sleep studies and provide patient care is expected.

Compensation & Benefits:

This full-time position entails general daytime office work, with occasional overnight shifts if needed to cover absences.

Estimated Salary Range: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour

Shift: Days (Full-Time)
