About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at SSM Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Operating Room, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the Operating Room environment, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working order.
  • Assist the surgical team with patient preparation, positioning, and care during procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, surgical procedures, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a technical program for operating room technicians.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery - Certified (NCCT) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the surgical team.
