Maintenance Supervisor

At EVRAZ North America, we're committed to excellence in manufacturing and operations. As a key member of our Maintenance team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment.

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee an assigned maintenance crew and collaborate with operations to achieve our goals.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Plan and execute maintenance repairs, leveraging your technical expertise to resolve complex issues.
  • Train and develop the skills of your team members, enhancing their technical expertise and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Coordinate employee training sessions and meetings to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Manage employee timecards and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in procuring, organizing, and inventorying parts and materials needed for repairs, optimizing inventory management and reducing waste.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve efficiency throughout the organization.
Requirements
  • A two-year degree in a mechanical or electrical field, or a completed accredited apprenticeship, and/or five years of experience in machining, mechanical, or electrical maintenance.
  • A four-year Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and technical experience with high voltage systems, motor control, and process automation.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and troubleshooting of mechanical operations of equipment.
  • Experience supervising in a union environment is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in both inside and outside environmental conditions, and be exposed to physical hazards, elevated noise levels, vibrations, and extreme cold and heat.
  • Ability to effectively manage change.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
Compensation
  • A competitive salary range of $84,000 - $101,700.
