Job Summary

Zachry Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Janitorial Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our work sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of manual activities, including moving equipment, digging, and retrieving equipment, as instructed by supervisors or journeyman.
  • Use fire extinguishers and climb structures and scaffolding as needed.
  • Operate rigging and hoisting devices, such as chokers, chain falls, and come-alongs, to move equipment and materials.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, including lubrication and repair of worn parts.
  • Follow direction from supervisors and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in an industrial construction or maintenance setting.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and formal/technical education.
  • Former Zachry Group employee or experience working with similar equipment and processes.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
  • Good problem-solving abilities and aptitude for manual dexterity.
  • Good reading comprehension and communication skills with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Ability to work with others as a team player and commitment to Zachry Group values and safety rules.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Good dexterity with hands and fingers for precision adjustments.
  • Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and work off platforms.
  • Good vision abilities, including focus, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
