Job Summary

Juans Flying Burrito is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Server Representative to join our team. As a Server Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our guests have a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare tables with all necessary components for great service, ensuring that tables are clean and set with napkins and utensils, and that condiments and caddies are filled.
  • Take guest orders accurately and kindly, based on server recommendations and/or guest preferences, and enter them into the POS system.
  • Deliver food and drinks to tables in a timely manner, ensuring that orders are delivered as described on the menu and/or as ordered.
  • Suggest dishes and assist in drink selection, inform customers about food preparation details, and communicate specific customer needs to the cooks.
  • Maintain great service experience by continuing to fulfill customer needs, offering appetizers, sides, and desserts, removing empty plates and finished dishes, replacing utensils, and replenishing drinks.
  • Maintain accurate orders in the POS throughout service.
  • Deliver accurate checks to tables, accept payments, and return change or charge slips to be signed by guests.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with all Staff Members.
  • Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations, and know if the kitchen staff is running out of any items.
  • Ask for assistance and direction as needed.
  • Report inappropriate guest and Staff Member behavior and work hazards to Supervisor for proper resolution.
  • Perform side work, which may include rolling silverware, making tea and coffee, washing bar glassware, cutting garnish fruit, filling hot sauces, cleaning restrooms, sweeping, and mopping the dining room(s).

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to acquire a Responsible Vendor Permit and/or file an existing one with your store manager within 45 days of hire date.
  • Must follow Health Board, Corporate, and store level guidelines for appearance, which may include personal grooming and uniform adherence.
  • Must speak fluently and be able to write in English.
  • Excellent customer sales & service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Previous restaurant experience preferred.
