The Role:
Serve food and beverage items in a knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful manner to all guests.

Responsibilities:
  1. Greet all guests at table
  2. Respond to guest inquiries regarding menu, wine list, and Music Hall
  3. Inform guests of daily specials and make recommendations
  4. Suggestively sell menu items, beverages, desserts, etc.
  5. Anticipate and respond to guest needs
  6. Respond to guest concerns/complaints regarding food or service and correct errors or resolve complaints with a friendly, positive attitude
  7. Organize and prioritize service per appropriate service sequence
  8. Take menu, beverage, and bar orders from guests and communicate orders to kitchen and/or bar through micros terminal
  9. Check food orders prior to serving to ensure that they are correct, properly presented, and that special requests have been met
  10. Deliver food and beverages to table
  11. Perform opening/running/closing duties according to HOB policy
  12. Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shift
  13. Have the ability to memorize menus and daily specials
  14. Pre-bus tables: remove dirty plates, glasses, etc., from table once guest has finished
  15. Clean spills on tables or around work area
  16. Maintain HOB safety and sanitation standards
  17. Prepare guest checks (on micros terminal) and check for accuracy
  18. Receive payment and process cash, credit card, or traveler's check transactions
  19. Have knowledge of all music, promotional, or special events in the house
  20. Assist other servers or other employees as needed
  21. Required to occasionally work Special Events that are scheduled throughout the venue

Qualifications:

Required:
  1. State or County Licensee or Certification Requirement/Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent
  2. 2-5 years high volume experience in restaurant operations
  3. Working knowledge of high volume restaurant operations and safe, responsible alcohol service
  4. Standard food preparation/presentation
  5. Skill in guest relations
  6. Wine & Liquor knowledge
  7. Ability to handle multiple tables at one time efficiently and with an upbeat, friendly attitude; read guests in order to anticipate their needs
  8. High School Diploma

Preferred:
Point of Sales knowledge, preferably MICROS

Physical Demands/Working Environment:
Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful. Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet. Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
