Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Hetherington Therapy. Position Details

We have Full-Time openings available in our Homecare/school division as well as our new location in a PPEC facility. Your experience and availability will help determine the specific setting and compensation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide therapy to children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other complex conditions.
  • Educate patients and their families while maintaining comprehensive records of patient progress.
  • Regularly assess patients and monitor their advancement towards treatment objectives.
  • Identify areas for improvement and suggest actionable recommendations.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work atmosphere with fellow team members.
  • Engage with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Receive weekly supervision and guidance from Occupational Therapists.

Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Florida.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience is preferred, but passionate new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Experience in a PPEC setting is advantageous.
  • Ability to independently manage patient treatment plans effectively.
  • Strong motivation and a commitment to building relationships with patients and working collaboratively with a diverse team.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Expected hours: Minimum of 30 hours per week
