About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credentials Manager to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a Credentials Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of medical staff credentials and privileges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recredentialing Process Oversight: You will be responsible for overseeing the recredentialing process to ensure that all medical staff members provide services within the scope of their training, licensure, and ability to perform the clinical privileges granted.
  • Database Management: You will manage the Cactus sProvider database, including maintenance of forms, letters, tables, delineation of privileges, taxonomy, interfaces, and staff training related to reappointments.
  • Team Management: You will oversee and manage the activities and performance of the reappointment team to ensure accuracy of data entry, timely processing of applications, and detailed implementation and follow-up concerning each reappointment.
  • Quality Assurance: You will ensure the delivery of a high-quality credentialing service for the CACTUS sProvider database and monitor departmental performance and productivity to assure appropriate utilization of resources.
  • Communication and Collaboration: You will effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including medical staff leaders and other departments, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of credentialing processes.
  • Problem-Solving and Analysis: You will analyze and organize office operations and procedures related to reappointments, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive responsible experience in an administrative role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications: NAMSS certification
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer skills, including word processing and database maintenance, self-motivation, ability to complete projects independently within established timeframes, and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Management Certificate or Master's Degree
  • Strong Interpersonal Relationship Skills
