We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in the Echocardiography Lab. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms, capturing digital cardiac images, and participating in quality control activities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echo, and other types of echocardiography testing
- Capture digital cardiac images and perform measurements correctly
- Recognize pathology and customize exams as needed
- Respond to stat calls and report life-threatening pathology to attending physicians
- Prepare echocardiogram procedures, including equipment, supplies, and paperwork
- Participate in orientation of new employees and daily quality control of equipment
- Technical Diploma from an accredited Cardiac Ultrasound program
- Appropriate credential in echocardiography (ARDMS, CCI, RDCS, RCS, or RCCS)
- Current and valid BLS certification
- 1-2 years of experience performing echocardiograms
- Strong communication, detail orientation, customer service, and multitasking skills
