Position Overview
Tonal is seeking a dedicated Mobile Engineer to collaborate across various teams, including product, engineering, and design. This role is pivotal in developing the mobile application that supports our intelligent personal training system.
Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead the development of intricate features utilizing Flutter and native iOS/Android frameworks.
- Engage in design and planning sessions, participating in scrum ceremonies to ensure timely delivery of product milestones.
- Foster a quality-driven engineering culture that promotes rapid and confident product releases.
- Tackle cross-platform engineering challenges and contribute innovative ideas to enhance software architecture and best practices.
- Coordinate with both onshore and offshore teams to optimize development and testing processes.
- Diagnose and analyze customer issues, performing root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in software development.
- Proficient in Dart, Swift, and/or Kotlin, with experience in backend services integration.
- Strong grasp of mobile application architecture and design patterns.
- Familiarity with data analytics and logging tools such as Sentry, Amplitude, or OpenSearch.
- Knowledge of source control management, build processes, and CI/CD workflows.
- High attention to detail in both code and UI/UX, with a creative problem-solving approach.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA, BS, or MS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with Apple Health and/or Google Health Connect.
- Knowledge in media processing and video streaming.
- Interest in the fitness industry.

Compensation
Salary Range: $135K - $190K
