Imaging Services Supervisor

Position Overview

This role is essential for upholding regulatory and professional standards while demonstrating robust decision-making skills. A collaborative relationship with Imaging leadership is crucial to ensure a cost-effective and patient-centered service. Key responsibilities include identifying and achieving program objectives, action items, and outcomes. This position oversees the care provided to patients undergoing imaging procedures, adhering to established workflows and procedural protocols. Technologists in this role are expected to possess comprehensive knowledge of imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities

1. **Supervision and Management**: Oversee direct reports, manage daily operations, staff schedules, workflow, and patient services/care. Utilize performance metrics such as Operations Advisor Report and Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction to monitor and enhance service quality.

2. **Staff Development**: Ensure accurate and timely completion of employee time sheets, facilitate staff development through coaching, corrective actions, and performance evaluations.

3. **Clinical Excellence**: Conduct routine and specialized exams in accordance with established protocols to minimize unnecessary imaging and ensure radiation safety. Maintain productivity within established benchmarks.

4. **Documentation and Compliance**: Consistently complete all exams and documentation in the designated systems. Accurately identify and address any discrepancies related to final product submissions.

5. **Safety Commitment**: Demonstrate a commitment to safe practices and support a culture of safety. Follow protocols to accurately identify patients and prevent errors.

6. **Quality Assurance**: Responsible for the accreditation process, including annual equipment evaluations and maintenance, as well as periodic quality assurance measures.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging, or related educational program is mandatory.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Healthcare - Radiology, CT/Diagnostic, or Ultrasound clinical experience; 1 to 2 years in a supervisory role within Imaging.

Licensure/Certification: Required certifications include ARRT (R)(CT) or ARDMS Ultrasound Technologist, along with BLS (CPR) certification from recognized organizations. Maintaining these credentials is essential.

Preferred Qualifications: Relevant additional certifications and experience in imaging services are advantageous.
