Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of our team, you will:
1. Ensure patient safety by conducting thorough pre-screening for contraindications and adhering to radiation safety regulations.
2. Produce high-quality diagnostic images that assist physicians in accurate diagnoses.
3. Maintain effective communication with patients and radiologists to facilitate optimal care.
4. Mentor and train new team members, sharing your expertise and knowledge.
5. Troubleshoot imaging equipment and ensure all peripheral devices are functioning correctly.
Position Requirements:
To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine or Positron Emission Tomography from NMTCB or Nuclear Medicine ARRT.
- A valid state license, as required, along with CPR certification.
- A valid state driver's license may be necessary.
- Flexibility to work at multiple locations and engage in local travel.
- Strong customer service, organizational, and multitasking skills, along with basic computer proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An Associate's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies.
Physical Requirements:
In this role, you may encounter:
- Exposure to outdoor conditions during patient transport if working in a mobile unit.
- Interaction with radioactive materials and potential exposure to ionizing radiation.
- The ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring patients.
Compensation:
The hourly pay rate ranges from $25.91 to $46.63, commensurate with experience.
