About The Brig

The Brig is a bustling Beergarden/Restaurant seeking a highly skilled and creative Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Culinary Team Leader, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of food items, utilizing your creativity to develop new dishes that delight our customers.

Salary Information:

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide Flexible Scheduling and Career Advancement Opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

Cooking and Food Preparation:

We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef who can cook various food items, including new creations, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Inventory Management:

You will track, maintain, and order inventory as necessary to ensure that our kitchen is always well-stocked and ready for service.

Team Collaboration:

We value teamwork and collaboration in our kitchen environment. You will work closely with our chefs and other staff members to achieve our culinary goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:

A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required.

Cooking Skills:

You should have excellent cooking skills, including the ability to use professional-grade kitchen appliances and equipment.

Food Safety:

You should have knowledge of food safety practices and be able to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Communication:

Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.
