Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Highmark Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic imaging procedures, analyzing results, and identifying issues with image quality. You will also be responsible for educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient understanding and cooperation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Positions patients and performs imaging procedures, analyzing results and identifying issues with image quality.
  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders, educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice, monitoring patient condition continually and reporting/responding to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, implementing safety standards and performing quality control procedures on equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent education and experience.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) Radiography certification required within 12 months of hire.
  • CPR – American Heart Association.
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior radiology experience.
